Neon Roulette — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026 · Applies to the Neon Roulette web game and the Android and iOS apps.
Neon Roulette is a play-money simulation. There is no real money, no deposits,
no withdrawals and no prizes. Virtual credits have no cash value and can never be cashed out,
sold or transferred.
Who we are
- Neon Roulette is published by Binary Data Technology.
- Privacy questions and data requests: binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com.
What the game stores
- The display name you type, plus your play-money balance, spin history, achievements, statistics and settings.
- There is no account: no e-mail address, no password, no phone number, no contact list, no location, no photos.
- Web: stored in your browser's local storage, and — if you run the optional bundled local server — in a PostgreSQL database and a backup file on that same computer. Neither is reachable from the internet.
- Android / iOS: stored in the app's own private storage on your device (SharedPreferences / UserDefaults). It may be included in your device's OS backup if you have that enabled.
- Anyone using the same device can switch between the saved profiles, so please use a nickname rather than your real name.
What leaves your device
- Gameplay: nothing. Spins, bets, balances and history are generated and kept on your device. We run no analytics and set no cookies of our own.
- Advertising (Android and iOS apps only). Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may receive your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and operating-system information, and ad interaction data, as described in
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We never send Google your player name, balance or game history. In the EEA and UK a consent
form appears before any ad is requested; on iOS the system App Tracking Transparency prompt
is shown. Declining is fully supported — you keep the entire game and simply see
non-personalised ads. The web version loads no advertising code at all.
- Rewarded video. Watching one is always optional and only unlocks extra bonus credits. Declining never removes anything you already have.
- Global leaderboard — opt-in, off by default. Only if you switch it on in Settings,
your display name, credit balance, biggest win and spin count are stored in Google
Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and shown publicly to other players. Sign-in is anonymous: no
e-mail, no profile, no contact data. Turning the setting off deletes your entry. Because
names are shown publicly, do not use a name you would not want strangers to see.
- Leaderboard reports and blocks. If you report a public entry, Firebase stores
your anonymous account ID, the reported player's anonymous ID and displayed nickname, the
report category, and the report time so we can moderate it. Reports are private and cannot be
read back by the app. Blocking is local: the blocked anonymous ID stays on your device and
hides that player's entry there; it is not sent to us.
- Cloud backup — opt-in, off by default. Only if you switch on
"Back up my credits to the cloud" in Settings, a copy of your saved profiles — display names,
play-money balances, statistics, achievements, unlocked settings and recent spin history — is
stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so it survives a reinstall or a new device. It is
not public and does not appear on any leaderboard. Sign-in is anonymous: no
e-mail, no password, no contact data, and no advertising identifier is attached to it.
The backup is addressed by a random 20-character cloud code generated on
your device. Treat that code like a password: anyone who has it can load, and overwrite, that
backup. We cannot recover a lost code, and we cannot tell you what any code contains.
"Delete cloud save" in Settings erases the stored copy immediately.
- Sharing. The share button hands a short summary of your own score to whichever app
you choose. We do not transmit it ourselves, and what that app does with it is governed by
its own privacy policy.
- In-app purchases (app versions only). Credit packs and Remove Ads + 50M are sold and
processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under
their own privacy policies. We never see, receive or store your name, address, card
number or any other payment detail. The app learns only that a purchase succeeded, plus
the store's receipt identifier. That identifier, and the fact that you own Remove Ads, are stored
on your device (and in the app's own private device storage) so that a purchase is not applied
twice and can be restored on a new device. None of it is transmitted to us.
Legal bases (EEA / UK)
- Consent — personalised advertising, publishing your score to the global leaderboard, and backing your save up to the cloud. You can withdraw any of them at any time (ad settings on your device; the Settings toggles in-app).
- Legitimate interests — showing non-personalised ads to fund a free game, keeping the app working and secure, and reviewing leaderboard reports to keep public names appropriate.
Retention
- Game data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- A published leaderboard entry stays until you switch publishing off, or we remove it (for example if the name breaks the rules).
- A cloud backup stays until you delete it in Settings. Because it is addressed only by your cloud code and holds nothing that identifies you, we have no way to find it for you — keep the code if you want to be able to erase it later.
- Moderation reports are retained only as long as reasonably needed to investigate misuse,
document action taken, and prevent repeated abuse. Blocked-player IDs stay on your device until
you clear the app's data or browser storage.
- Ad data is retained by Google under its own policies, not by us.
Children
- This game contains simulated gambling, is only for adults aged 18 or older, and is not directed to children. It is rated accordingly on both stores, and ad requests are flagged as not child-directed.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has published a leaderboard entry, contact us at the address above and we will remove it.
Your choices and how to delete data
- In-app: "Switch player", "Clear history" and "Reset balance"; un-tick the global-leaderboard setting to delete your online entry; "Delete cloud save" to erase your cloud backup.
- Whole app: uninstall it, or clear its storage in your device settings. This also
clears the local record of applied purchases; a Remove Ads you have paid for is not lost — "Restore
purchases" in the Store re-applies it from your store account free of charge.
- Web: clear your browser storage; if you ran the local server, delete
data/profiles.json and reset the local database.
- Ads: reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings at any time.
- Requests: to ask what is held about you, or to have it deleted, e-mail the address above. Because the game holds no account, please include enough detail (such as the exact display name you published) for us to find a leaderboard entry.
Selling and sharing
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad serving described above. We build no user profiles of our own.
Changes
- If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it, and the in-app copy is updated in the next release.
